Denim on denim is always reminiscent of old west times where you would see some cowboy sporting the look. As a fan of western workwear Im a firm believer in wearing these looks in modern times out and about.

I have done denim jacks with jeans and light wash denim with light wash denim, but I’ve never given it a try with dark. In a scurry to give this look a try I quickly remembered seeing old levis ads and decided to channel my inner wrangler.

I believe the key to this look is color and fit! The idea is to have the denim pieces be as close in color as possible as well as a slim and tapered fit, ultimately achieving that old western look.

Accessories like belts, hats and boots also help pull this look together.
