The Upper Echelon Dress Patriotic Without Going Overboard This 4th of July copyThe 4th of July or Independence day is one that Americans take great pride in.  We experience the holiday through fireworks, festivals, friends/family, cookouts and fashion.

The fashion I’m discussing is us wearing the red, white and blue of our country’s flag loud and proud.

There is nothing wrong with showing pride for our great nation but there are sometimes when I wonder…. Can this be done in a more stylish way that is patriotic but captures the original essence of american style instead of an Uncle Sam outfit with blinking red, white and blue lights.

The answer is definitely YES!

It is so easy to use the colors to create a timeless outfit that will display your love for the United States without looking tacky.

The key here is simplicity.. Don’t do too much.  If you are going to wear a flag item make it only 1 of the elements  of the outfit not 5.  You want this outfit to say I love my country but I’m not trying to do a street performance act.

Wearing some shade of denim in your pants or shorts shirt or jacket is always good on this day because it naturally takes care of the blue in your red, white and blue ensemble and gives and original American feel (as seen in these photos).
