Overalls was that one item that everyone at least owned at some point during the 90’s or if you lived way out in the deep country some where .. But now in contemporary fashion we are seeing a reassurance of the 90’s popular trend.
Today you will notice that the we have done what we did with the once jogging pant now turned jogger.. (Simply tapered it) and voila… a whole new twist on a classic.
If you are going to introduce this item back into your wardrobe then be sure to research on some popular methods from the 90s and then modernize it. Simple is best when trying out the modern overall. Try pairing the overalls with a simple t-shirt that is blank or has little graphics. Make sure the t-shirt isn’t too oversize in this case and more tapered so everything fits in the overalls without spilling out creating a sloppy appeal.
When deciding how many straps to buckle consider this.
1 – Always (This cool method is always a winner and all you have to do is decide which one goes unbuckled)
2 – Sometimes (Buckling both straps can look can be a very cool look especially for ladies with a crop of some sort. But if not careful men.. this look can get very nerdy-esque..)
0 – Never (Unless they are tight enough around the waist where they won’t fall down to your ankles as you go about your day).
Lastly Pair a nice sneaker with this look. In this shoot I wore the Jordan 5 Fire Red which is a mid – height sneaker that I wore to create a slight bunching at the bottom of my overalls.
